Church of San Nicolau

The church, an important icon in the “baixa” center of the city, The church has two valuable areas that are being considered for conservation work. The first corresponds to the Baptistery that has a stucco ceiling covered with tempera paintings. It also holds excellent gilded wooden sculptures and a unique font. The second which has been carried out is the Sacristy of the Brotherhood (showed in the pictures) that holds unique pieces such as the 18th century golden reliquaries and sculptures, apart from the decorated ceiling.

This project was undertaken at the request of one of the most important sponsors of WMFP who will completely fund it.
